If you drive in Mesa, Arizona, you already know that the desert environment can be brutal on your car. Between highway rocks, sand, construction debris, and the intense sun, your vehicle’s exterior takes a daily beating.
At Mills Tint, we specialize in high-quality Paint Protection Film (PPF) to keep your vehicle looking flawless. Whether you've just driven a new car off the lot or you want to hold the value of your current ride, PPF is the ultimate defense for your paint.

What is a Paint Protection Film and How Does It Work?
Paint Protection Film is a transparent, high-performance layer professionally applied to your vehicle’s painted surfaces. Using a precision installation process with water and specialized tools, the film creates an invisible barrier that protects your paint from:
-
Rock chips
-
Road debris
-
Sand and gravel
-
Bug splatter and contaminants
-
Minor scratches and swirl marks
-
UV exposure and fading
It also helps prevent the microscopic scratching that commonly occurs when vehicles go through automatic car washes multiple times per week.
One of the standout features of the Autobahn PPF we use is its self-healing technology. If the film experiences light scratches or surface marring, the Arizona heat and sunlight help the material return to a smooth, glossy finish.

Why We Recommend "Full Front" Protection
When it comes to protecting your vehicle, we strongly recommend our “Full Front” PPF package.
This package includes:
-
Full front bumper (excluding chrome)
-
Full hood
-
Full front fenders
-
Headlights
-
A-pillars
-
Painted mirror fronts
Some shops offer a “partial front” package that only covers the first 18 to 20 inches of the hood. At Mills Tint, we typically advise against partial coverage.
Our film includes built-in UV protection, which means the covered paint and uncovered paint can age differently over time. If a partial film is removed years later, you may notice a harsh visible line where the exposed paint faded differently from the protected section.
By covering the entire panel, you get a seamless, invisible finish that maintains a consistent appearance while helping preserve your vehicle’s long-term value.
The Mills Tint Installation Process: Prep, Precision, and Patience
Unlike standard auto window tinting, installing PPF requires an incredibly meticulous, time-intensive process to ensure a perfect application. Here is how our expert team handles your vehicle in our controlled bay environment:

Flawless Preparation
For the film to stick correctly, the paint must be perfectly bare. We ask clients to run their car through a wash the day before their appointment. Once it arrives, our team washes it again, getting deep into the cracks and crevices. We will clay bar the paint and strip away any existing waxes. (Note: If you are considering this service, do not get a ceramic coating beforehand, as we will have to completely strip it to apply the PPF).

Precision Plotter Cutting
We never cut the film on your car. Every piece of film is pre-cut on a digital plotter specifically for your vehicle's make and model, ensuring a perfect fit with zero risk of knife marks on your original paint.

Quality Control and Curing
We require at least a full day, and often keep the vehicle overnight. As the water dries overnight, our team does a strict quality control check the next morning. We touch up the tight curves to make sure every edge is wrapping correctly and laying down flat before you drive away.
Trust Arizona’s Paint Protection Experts
You shouldn't trust your vehicle to just anyone. Our dedicated PPF installer is one of the most experienced professionals in Arizona; so highly skilled that he actually serves as a regional trainer for other installers. Backed by a 10-year warranty, your car will stay glossy, protected, and looking new for years to come.
